I'm Staci. I created this blog to share my journey of a million pursuits. Okay, not a million, but sometimes it feels like that many. If you're anything like me, you know what I mean.
I consider myself a nouveau hippie since I am passion about being kind to the world around me and living as green as possible, while looking beautiful doing it. I'm one-part girlie-girl, one-part tomboy. I'm likely to be found in full makeup while covered in mud in my garden.
Does this sound like you? Then lets be friends!
A while back my husband and I began a journey to become minimalists. Although our efforts are ongoing we feel as if this change has transformed our life for the better. We hope that by sharing our story others will be inspired to become enlightened.
Beyond minimalism, I am passionate about food and fitness and share many of my culinary creations on my healthy food blog, Vegucated Kitchen. I grew up with a form of Muscular Dystrophy that has thankfully been in remission since I was 12. My illness taught me at a very young age to appreciate and value a healthy body, and today I do all that I can to treat my body like the temple it is, and to inspire others to do the same.
I'm a creative type that enjoys the challenge of making something beautiful and useful out of something that others would consider trash. This is great since my husband in I are DIYing our way through or first home remodel. With a little ingenuity and plenty of elbow grease our house is coming along. Follow our journey here!
Lastly, I am passionate about spending money only on things that add value to my life. I am a reformed shop-a-holic who now loves this debt free life. Consumerism is contagious and minimalism was the tincture that cured me. I've never been happier and I can show you how too!
Other things that I am: a stay-at-home blogger; mom to a rescue terrier; recovering from a corporate career; a remedial baker; aspiring to keep house like my grandmother; consider myself to be a combination of Martha Stewart/Marilyn Monroe/Miranda Lambert; a believer in the golden rule; minimalist fashionista; police officer cheerleader; grateful for amazing parents; a Tone It Up Beach Babe; dreaming of owning acreage and a John Deere; happier with few items but aim for only the best; a terrible weed-eater operator (but I'm practicing); slightly obsessed with YouTube makeup tutorials.
Dream Gigs Bucket List:
Life Coaching
A healthy cooking TV show
Modeling for John Deere or Southern Thread
Working with Alicia Silverstone, The Minimalists, Tone It Up or Mandi from Vintage Revivals
